Attorney, John A. Ernst, Jr.
John A. Ernst is a graduate of Emory University and University of Georgia, School of Law. Mr. Ernst graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor in Arts in History.

After leaving Emory, Mr. Ernst was the assistant to Georgia Governor Roy Barnes. He dealt with the leaders of the state and around the world. Mr. Ernst is a veteran of many political campaigns around the state. He then continued his education and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law. During his tenure in law school Mr. Ernst was a member of the prosecutorial clinic where he served as a prosecutor in the Athens-Clarke County District Attorney’s office.
Mr. Ernst is licensed to practice before all Georgia Trial Courts and the Georgia Supreme Court and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Pickens County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Ernst is a title agent for LandAmerica Commonwealth Land Title and Stewart Title.
Attorney, Monica Vining
Monica’s practice focuses on Bankruptcy, Creditors Rights, and Commercial Litigation. Most recently, she was an associate at Jones & Walden, LLC in Atlanta.

Monica is admitted to practice in the state of Georgia and is a member of the Bankruptcy section of the State Bar of Georgia. She graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in 2000 and cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2003.While in law school, Monica served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law and authored Copyrights From a Child’s Perspective, 95 J. INTELL. PROP. L. 387 (2002).

Outside of the office, Monica enjoys her active family, which includes sons, Jack, age seven and Evan, age five, and her husband John Ernst. Together, they are avid sports fans and enjoy soccer, basketball, baseball and football. Monica is also involved in Brookhaven, GA community organizations, including animal rescue and farmers markets.
Paralegal, Yoni Kutler
Yoni Kutler is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Finance degree focusing in Real Estate.

In 2007, at the very beginning of the housing crisis, Yoni began working with investors in Southern Florida who were buying residential properties with the intention of renovating and reselling them for profit. Over time, he began learning the ins and outs of the distressed property market and specifically learning how to negotiate and facilitate short sales for his employer.
In late 2008, he moved to Atlanta, GA and started up his own business offering his short sale expertise to investors, Realtors, and attorneys in need of help with their short sale closings. In 2011 he began working with Ernst and Partners and has been successfully closing short sales ever since.
Closing Manager, Kristin Williams
Kristin brings over 15 years of Georgia real estate closing experience to Ernst Legal’s Atlanta office, specializing in residential, commercial, REO, short-sale and HUD closings. Most recently, she was Closing Coordinator at Neel, Robinson & Stafford LLC.

Paralegal, Peter Kang
Peter Kang is a graduate of Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice. He joined Ernst Legal in 2007 and has been a paralegal with the firm ever since.
